SAT

What is it:
Like TOEFL, it is an exam which is given by 10th or 12th class passed students seeking admission in one of the colleges in the United states. SAT exam is basically of two types namely The SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject Test. Millions of students take this exam every year for admission into the so many colleges in United States.


Syllabus:
SAT Reasoning Test is of 3 hours and forty five minutes and measures a students knowledge in areas of Mathematics and Writing & Reading skills.


The Mathematics Section

The average score secured in the maths section is around 515.


The Critical Reading Section

The Writing Section

The average score secured in the writing section is around 494.


The SAT Subject Test is of 1 hour only and measures the knowledge and application of a particular subject only selected by the applicant.


When to give the test:
The SAT exam can be given during seven times a year(Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, March/April, May, June) in the United States. Outside the U.S, the exam is given on the same dates except for the month of March/April. Candidates may register themselves over here.

  1. What about SAT II examination..if a person wants to get admission in an engineering college in some foreign country?does he need to give SAT 1 or SAT 2
