b)How many general seats are there in all the IITS - Well roughly speaking, after the implementation of 27% reservation for OBC's there are about 4000 seats left for the general category.


Eligibility:
As per the new rule launched a couple of years back, a student can appear in JEE only twice, once when he's in 12th itself and then the very next year.For general candidates, they need to secure at least 60% aggregate in their 12th boards.However there's some relaxation for students belonging to SC, ST or PD category.

  1. is the info u have posted abt d seat's thing correct??i mean i read it sum where dat d seats were more than 8000 for d year 2008!!
